Events in January, February and March in Wiltshire are a welcome break from the humdrum of winter. As Spring arrives more events come on the scene.
Outdoor events are already under way, cycling, walking, horse riding. The Natiional Trust properties start to open as Spring arrives. They make a great day out.

Bradford Roots Music Festival 21st January 2023. Wiltshire Music Centre, Ashley Road, Bradford on Avon.
Wiltshire 10 Sunday, 11th February 2024 at 10:00am, King George V Playing Fields, Melksham. A flat 10 mile road race over pleasant Wiltshire countryside. This course is a fast one!!!
International Canoe Race 20th March to 1st April 2024. Devizes to Westminster. Starts in Devizes and finishes just downstream of Westminster Bridge in central London. Has been held over the Easter Weekend since 1948.
Wiltshire Wildcat Sportive 1st April 2023 Based at Salisbury Racecourse, Netherhampton this ride crosses challenging countryside, stunning views and all that Wiltshire is. Epic, Standard, Short and under 16 routes.

Stourton is part of the National Trust's Stourhead.
Melksham is a very pleasant market town on the River Avon. Still growing in popularity it is now the fifth largest town in Wiltshire.The town won a Silver Award in the 2013 South West in Bloom contest.
Salisbury Racecourse is not in Salisbury but about four miles away in Netherhampton. Used for flat racing it is a summer racecoure. Other events use the racecourse as a venue for its central location to downland and the city.
Spirthill is only a tiny place that can just be described as a hamlet. With its position on a hilltop it has fine views all round. Situated not too far from Calne.

The events in Wiltshire should be capable of attracting crowds, large village fete size and above, similar to those listed here.
Our observations show that www.travelwessex.com's main visitors are those that love walking, cycling, horse riding and other like minded pursuits, but we welcome all attractions as we have many other visitors as well that we love to cater for. Posting events on this page is free.
